Bring transformational nursing leadership to NewYork-Presbyterian as the Director of Nursing – Perioperative Services, supporting NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, the Center for Community Health, and Lower Manhattan Hospital. In this highly visible, multi-site leadership role, you will shape the future of perioperative care across a diverse surgical platform, ranging from a large academic-affiliated hospital to a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center and a community hospital setting. You will play a critical role in driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic growth while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

As the Director of Nursing – Perioperative Services, you will play a critical leadership role across NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, the Center for Community Health, and NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. In this highly visible, multi-site position, you will drive clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and strong financial performance while ensuring optimal patient outcomes. You will lead and develop a team of more than 230 perioperative professionals, foster a culture of shared governance and high performance, design, implement, and maintain evidence-based policies, practices, and quality initiatives. Partnering closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and executive leadership, you will identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiencies, implement cost-reduction strategies, and support the continued growth and innovation of surgical services, including the advancement of new and cutting-edge procedures. Through your leadership, you will make a meaningful impact on patient care, team engagement, and the future of perioperative services across the organization.
This is a full-time position at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital's Center for Community Health,and NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.
Preferred Criteria
CNOR certification
Experience leading multi-site or complex perioperative services
Background in both inpatient and ambulatory surgery settings
Required Criteria
Master’s degree in nursing or related field
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current New York State RN license
Minimum 5+ years of perioperative leadership experience
Proven track record of:
Operational leadership
