Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide leadership in coordinating and overseeing all healthcare services for individuals served within Northeast Arc’s Residential Division. The Director of Nursing ensures individuals served achieve their maximum level of health and wellness. The Director of Nursing supervises all Residential Nurse’s, provides Direct Case management as required and collaborates closely with Residential Division Director to ensure the needs of the division are met.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures nursing services provided meet the acute, episodic, and long-term care needs of individuals by designing, implementing, and evaluating service systems that promote high quality health care.
  • Supervises the performance of nursing staff through direct observation, report reviews, supervision meetings, and collaboration with program directors s to ensure competency in practice. Assures the clinically complex evaluation and admission procedures are always followed.
  • Oversees Nursing Department activities by setting performance guidelines and reviewing performance to ensure that adequate care coordination and services are being provided to the individuals.
  • Collaborates with other supervisory and management personnel by meeting on a regular and as-needed basis to identify and resolve issues related to staff supervision, training, and individual service needs.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensed and maintained by the State Board of Nursing in Massachusetts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Minimum three years nursing experience including prior experience in the direct care of the elderly or disabled adults is required.
  • Prior supervisory experience is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of MAP (medication administration program). Prior experience developing training and ensuring compliance with MAP.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulation and guidelines that pertain to disabilities.
  • Experienced leader with strong clinical skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, electronic health records, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Monday through Friday

Target Salary

The approximate pay range for this role $110,000 - $125,000 annually.

Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's experience, education, and internal equity.
