Director of Nursing (DON) – Full-Time
Cincinnati, OH

We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical team at a skilled nursing facility in the Cincinnati area. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, building strong teams, and maintaining clinical excellence.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall management of the nursing department, ensuring the highest standards of resident care while maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations. This role plays a key part in driving quality outcomes, staff development, and survey success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all nursing operations, including RNs, LPNs, and STNAs
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain survey readiness
• Monitor and improve quality measures and clinical outcomes
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and retention initiatives
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for nursing staff
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident care
• Manage infection control programs and risk management processes
• Participate in budgeting and resource planning

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio
• Previous DON experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process
• Proven success with survey outcomes and quality improvement initiatives
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to foster a positive, team-oriented culture
