Job Description

The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing and managing the medical staff and departments at various Kintock facilities, collaborating with the Medical Director and Site Administrators, and reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. This role involves managing nursing staff, coordinating medical vendor contracts, addressing patient complaints, ensuring compliance with licensure requirements, and developing and reviewing policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities:**

  1. Manage nursing staff, including supervision, hiring, and performance management
  2. Schedule shifts and manage time off to ensure adequate nurse coverage
  3. Coordinate and negotiate contracts with medical vendor services
  4. Attend managerial meetings
  5. Address patient complaints
  6. Audit medical records and medication procedures
  7. Track mandatory training and provide educational opportunities for nurses
  8. Track and maintain licensure requirements for all medical staff
  9. Plan and facilitate staff meetings and ensure cleanliness of medical areas
  10. Develop and review policies and procedures, including SOPs
  11. Travel to multiple locations weekly and work a flexible schedule
  12. Perform ACA-related duties and attend mandatory training classes
  13. Perform other work-related duties as assigned

**Qualifications:**

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • CPR Certification
  • 5-10 years of Administrative/Nursing experience in a correctional or residential substance use disorder environment.
  • Administrative experience, including managing staff and schedules.

** Education Requirements: **

- Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program, currently licensed in NJ/PA

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's degree in Health is a plus

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of ACA requirements

- Ability to work independently and prioritize patient care

- Work in an environment where safety and security are paramount

**Additional Information: **

The Director of Nursing will oversee nursing services in Newark, Bridgeton, and Philadelphia in a non-hospital setting, with approximately 10 FT/PT nursing staff. This is a 40-hour per week position based in Ft. Washington, PA, but requiring regular travel to sites with the flexibility to work remotely when needed. A travel allowance, laptop, and monthly cell phone will be provided.
