Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Director of Music to join our vibrant parish community. The ideal candidate will preferably be a bilingual (Spanish/English) speaker with a passion for music and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and spiritually enriching worship environment. will be responsible for the smooth flow of this liturgical ministry of the parish. The Director of Music works with the Pastor, pastoral staff, volunteers and Liturgical Committee to determine policies relating to the liturgical celebrations of the parish, and to plan the seasonal and sacramental liturgical celebrations.

QUALIFICATIONS :
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE – Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher. Knowledge of liturgy preferred. Skills/knowledge in selecting appropriate liturgical music; must have demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work with volunteers. Vocal and organ or piano proficiency within the Roman Catholic Liturgy. Choral conducting proficiency.
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, analyze, and write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Strong communication skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, and the general public. Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English.
REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and ability to interpret instructions furnished in writing or orally. Ability to adapt to changing schedules or routines; excellent time management skills.
