Job Description

ACN3: £111,430 - 148,064 per annum pro rata (Salary may be matched to equivalent NHS pay scale, where considered appropriate and subject to School approval).

CMVM / Edinburgh Medical School / Medical Education

Part-time: 10.5 hours per week

Fixed-term: up to 12 months (absence cover)

The Opportunity:

The Director of MBChB Admissions will be a senior clinician, with local insight into the recruitment of medical school applicants and selectors. They will possess excellent communication skills and work well within a team. There will be a commitment to leading, developing, and engaging in outreach activities, particularly with Scottish schools and collaborating with the five Scottish medical schools to undertake outreach across the country.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Currently working as an NHS doctor.
  • Demonstrable local insight into the recruitment of medical school applicants and selectors, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the challenges involved.
  • A demonstrable commitment to leading, developing, and engaging in outreach activities, specifically targeting Scottish schools and collaborating with the five Scottish medical schools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, crucial for effective engagement with key stakeholders.
