Mountainside Fitness – Director of Digital Marketing
Mountainside Fitness is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing to lead performance-
driven growth across paid, owned, and earned digital channels. This role will own full-
funnel performance, measurement and attribution, and clear storytelling of results,
translating marketing data into insights that drive smarter decisions, stronger Member
acquisition, and long-term value.
This is a hands-on, strategic role for a digital leader who understands the real ins and
outs of paid media, analytics, and optimization, effectively translating data findings into
future results, inclusive of strategic planning/rationale.
Essential Functions

- Optimize digital growth strategy and execution across paid search, paid social,
display, video, website, app, email, SMS, and loyalty
- Lead performance marketing with accountability for key outcomes including
leads, trials, joins, CAC, ROAS, LTV, and retention
- Manage and evolve attribution and measurement frameworks to ensure data
accuracy and confidence in results
- Translate complex performance data into clear, compelling narratives for
leadership, what’s working, what’s not, and what to do next
- Partner with creative teams to guide ad concepts, messaging, and testing based
on performance insights
- Manage testing and experimentation across channels, creative, offers, and
landing pages
- Oversee budgets, forecasting, pacing, and optimization decisions
- Ensure flawless execution of campaigns across all digital touchpoints
- Own the programming, scheduling, deployment and reporting of email and SMS
campaigns, ensuring accurate targeting, timing and optimal performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and external partners
to align digital efforts with business goals
- Monitor platform changes, competitive activity, and emerging tools to identify
opportunities for growth and efficiency
- Support CRM and lifecycle strategy across email, SMS, and in-app messaging
- Build segmentation and personalization using behavioral and transactional data
- Track and optimize lifecycle KPIs including open rates, CTRs, conversions,
churn, and incremental lift
Experience & Competencies
- 8+ years of experience leading performance-driven digital marketing, including
analyzing metrics and owning results; multi-unit experience preferred
- Deep, hands-on expertise in paid media platforms, targeting, bidding, and
optimization
- Strong understanding of attribution, analytics, and marketing measurement
- Demonstrated experience translating performance marketing results into
digestible results with tangible, forward-looking, strategic and tactical planning
- Experience with Google Analytics, HubSpot, WordPress, Microsoft Excel and
other marketing technology tools
- Ability to clearly communicate insights and recommendations through data
storytelling
- Experience managing agencies and cross-functional partners
- Strategic mindset with a willingness to get into the weeds
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and strong self-motivation
