Penta Group’s Marketing Department Penta’s Marketing department leads the firm’s brand, communications, and thought leadership efforts. As a growing function, Marketing plays a central role in shaping how Penta brings its expertise to market, developing campaigns, translating proprietary data and intelligence into commercial advantage, and scaling revenue across the firm. The department works across channels to engage key audiences and elevate Penta’s position in the market and in the global conversation on critical issues.
Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Director of Marketing will lead Penta’s marketing strategy across the firm’s global practice areas, elevating brand awareness, thought leadership, and driving pipeline development. The Director of Marketing is expected to:
  • Develop demand generation programs that drive qualified pipeline and influence revenue outcomes, with ownership of funnel performance from lead generation through conversion, including managing, segmenting, and prioritizing a target account list
  • Own the content calendar and thought leadership pipeline, commissioning, editing, and distributing research reports, white papers, op-eds, case studies, and event content that demonstrate Penta’s expertise and generate engagement, while partnering with the CGO, PR firm, and senior stakeholders to shape how proprietary research is brought to market and build a content engine around Penta’s intelligence assets
  • Partner with practice leads and business development teams to produce pitch materials, capability decks, and proposals that position Penta competitively across sectors
  • Lead the planning and execution of Penta-hosted and sponsored events, roundtables, and conference participation, evolving these efforts into high-value relationship and community-building platforms that create durable client and prospect engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, industry associations, and partners to extend Penta’s reach and profile
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors, overseeing scopes of work, budgets, and quality of deliverables across partners including designers, PR firms, and digital specialists
  • Manage Penta’s top 20 accounts and lead account-based marketing programs that strengthen relationships, drive cross-sell opportunities, and grow account value through targeted content, client communities, and thought leadership.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 10–12 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within professional services, consulting, agencies, public affairs, or a related field
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing long-form thought leadership, executive communications, and marketing copy, and translating complex policy, data, and strategic concepts into clear, compelling narratives
  • Experience designing and executing integrated marketing programs that drive pipeline contribution, including campaign management across content, events, and ABM
  • Experience managing target account lists and working within a CRM to track lead flow and conversion
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, CMS, email marketing tools, and social media management, with comfort using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) to guide decision-making
  • Experience producing client-facing materials and supporting business development or sales functions, with a strong understanding of how marketing integrates with go-to-market strategy
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in fast-paced, client-service environments
  • Comfort engaging with and presenting to senior leadership, partners, and external stakeholders, with the ability to influence decision making and drive alignment across the organization
