Position Synopsis

Our client is at the cutting edge of sheet metal fabrication and is taking full advantage of the reshoring of American manufacturing in the Aerospace, Military Tech, Automotive, and Semiconductor sectors . They are seeking someone to work alongside the CEO & President, and communicate openly with the Chief Financial Officer, Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing, and VP of R&D. This role reports to the President with an open door with the CEO who is focused on the M&A growth of the company so your team and equity upside can grow. When push comes to shove you will lead day-to-day leadership as you implement well thought out plans for infrastructure build out of processes and personnel

If you are currently a Director of Supply Chain, Director of Operations, experienced manager that is ready for their next step and aspire to be a General Manager, VP of Operations, and eventually a COO this is a great next logical step in your career. This critical operational leader will oversee all assembly, machining, welding, purchasing, and product development operations across facilities in Southern California and Texas. The ideal candidate will blend strategic operational design with hands-on shop floor management, establishing scalable production capabilities and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for direct supervisory oversight of key plant leaders, this executive will bring rigorous manufacturing governance, precise BOM oversight, and robust production planning to meet explosive commercial demand.

Job Duties

• The head of operations will oversee aspects of supply chain, logistics, strategy, inventory planning, operational data integrity, purchasing, and procurement.
• Drive positive transformation in operational aspects of the business and build a best in class, data-driven group that supports deep analysis of the business, inventory planning and accommodates the organization’s future growth
• Develop inventory strategies that maintain ideal inventory levels to meet desired regional customer forecasted demand to achieve inventory turn goals while maximizing free standing cash flow.
• Establish repeatable processes around production routing controls across the manufacturing floor to ensure traceability and operational consistency.
• Utilize FP&A function to prevent margin erosion and streamline initiatives to get out in front of supply chain risk while delivering results benefiting EBITDA.
• Work closely with head of technology to build profitability dealer analysis P&L’s that produce dynamic scorecards based on bestselling products, quickest moving SKUs, and inventory turnover ratios.
• Partner with the inventory control manager, VP of R&D, and others on multi-facility capacity planning, CapEx needs, and long-range production scheduling.
• Constantly encourage employees to reach new heights by leading by example and celebrating small and large wins.
• Collaborate closely with sales, demand planning, and procurement teams to align manufacturing schedules with high-volume customer fulfillment commitments.

Qualifications:

• The Head of Ops will have the flexibility to figure out to scale production when needed, providing operational oversight and exposure to cross-functional responsibilities
• Experience in space, miliary, automotive, durable goods, industrial products, apparel, or MedTech.
• Prior plant or manufacturing facility management experience within an exciting growth story business
• Someone who can resolve conflicts and create solutions, as well as an excellent communicator
• Demonstrated ability to effectively inspire, develop, and lead a team; A leader who values teamwork, excellence, authenticity, accountability, integrity and commitment to the organizational values
