The Village At Summerville is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Maintenance to lead our maintenance operations and ensure a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper maintenance, repair and/or upkeep of all buildings, grounds, equipment and vehicles.
  • Assist in fire drills to ensure proper response.
  • Respond promptly and warmly to residents and their families requests, maintaining positive and respectful relationships.
  • Manage maintenance requisitions.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulation standards, policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular inspections of residents, ancillary, and common areas to ensure an orderly safe environment.
  • Purchase supplies and equipment in an effective and efficient manner
  • Maintain on-call status when scheduled and respond appropriately
  • Train all department employees
  • Maintain CMMS database for all assets, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and reports

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or associate degree in related field
  • Valid South Carolina driver’s license
  • 1-3 years related supervisory experience
  • Intermediate computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of related or supervisory experience in long term care environment
  • Certification in related maintenance services (HVAC preventive maintenance, safety, etc.)
