Director of Intake & Enrollment | Monsey, NY · $110,000-$130,000
About the Role This is a senior leadership role overseeing all intake, enrollment, disenrollment, and member retention functions across multiple lines of business in the managed care space. You'll serve as the connective tissue between the organization and the communities it serves — building relationships, driving enrollments, and ensuring every team member is operating at the highest standard. Key Responsibilities
Team Oversight & Leadership
- Supervise Enrollment Agents, Intake-Enrollment & Disenrollment Specialists, Member Retention staff, and associated leads and regional supervisors
- Establish and maintain a culture of responsibility and accountability across all teams
- Ensure all staff adhere to company, federal, and state mandated regulations and policies
- Oversee that appropriate staff are traveling throughout the service area to educate the community and meet with prospective members
Enrollment & Intake Operations
- Manage the full intake and enrollment process across all lines of business, including disenrollment in accordance with established policies
- Oversee eligibility exploration for potential individuals and families seeking services
- Manage assignment of individuals determined eligible for any line of business
- Navigate escalated Medicare and Medicaid cases, working directly with federal and state entities on pending approvals
Reporting & Tracking
- Maintain ongoing tracking and provide weekly status reports on new enrollments by line of business and county
- Track outreach-related meetings and events as communicated by the outreach team
- Utilize current tracking software to ensure timely communication and service delivery
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Strengthen and maintain relationships between the organization's lines of business and the broader community
- Represent the organization effectively before a wide range of community and professional constituencies
- Ensure staff are providing educational programming and promoting activities that support membership growth across the geographic service area
Qualifications
- Knowledge of social services programs and community services
- Familiarity with CMS and DOH guidelines
- Experience with Medicare and Medicaid enrollments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to speak professionally with a wide range of individuals and communities
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team
