The Director of Indirect Procurement is a high-impact leader responsible for leading the strategy, governance, and execution of indirect procurement activities across the enterprise. This role oversees all non-supply chain spend areas - including IT, travel, professional services, and supplies-related categories - ensuring cost optimization, risk mitigation, and strong vendor performance. Reporting directly to the SVP of FP&A, you will lead initiatives that deliver measurable year-over-year cost savings, improve supplier performance, and unlock efficiencies across the enterprise. Your work will directly influence our bottom line, enabling us to reinvest in innovation, customer service and growth.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Financial Oversight

  • Long-Term Strategy: Develop and execute a multi-year indirect procurement strategy aligned with organizational priorities with a heavy emphasis on process and systems after onboarding
  • Spend Aggregation: Identify opportunities for enterprise-wide savings by consolidating fragmented spend across multiple business units and regions
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage a multi-million dollar procurement budget, driving year-over-year cost-savings initiatives without compromising quality or continuity

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) & Governance

  • SRM Excellence: Identify, vet, and manage a strong network of suppliers, moving beyond transactional buying to cultivate long-term alliances
  • Performance & Audits: Conduct regular performance audits and implement rigorous KPIs/SLAs to ensure every supplier meets quality and service benchmarks
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions (e.g., geopolitical shifts, natural disasters) and ensure ethical sourcing compliance
  • Legal Partnering: Collaborate with Legal to draft and negotiate complex MSAs, ensuring robust protection regarding liability and indemnity

Technology Integration & Leadership

  • Digital Transformation: Lead the selection, implementation and optimization of ERP systems (including Oracle) and AI-driven procurement tools for better data visibility
  • Tech Partnership: Partner with Tech teams on the procurement and implementation of hardware, software, and systems
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of procurement analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, results and professional growth
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols for all vendors and equipment, ensuring zero-compromise on workplace standards

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering; MBA or MS in Supply Chain is highly preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive leadership in procurement, with specific expertise in Indirect categories
  • Technical Savvy: Expert-level knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), e-Sourcing platforms (i.e. Procurify), and data visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI)
  • Negotiation: A proven "Master Negotiator" capable of leading high-stakes, multi-year contract negotiations with global vendors.

Certification: CPSM, CSCP, or MCIPS designations are strong
