Staff ExemptThe Director of Housing provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for campus housing operations. This role is responsible for the end-to-end student housing experience, from initial occupancy management and billing to facilities coordination and move-in logistics. The Director ensures a seamless residential environment by supervising key leadership staff and maintaining high-level communication with campus partners and the student body.
Job Duties:
Reports to Associate Dean of Housing and Residential Life.
On campus, student facing.
Full-time (52 weeks /40 hour per week).
Serves on-call in Director rotation; could be required to work weekends and after hours to meet operational needs.
Oversees all aspects of housing assignments and residential agreements, customer operations, including Fraternities and Sororities, Residential College, Affinity Housing, Students with specific accessibility needs, Off-Campus application process, and summer housing (including Events Management and Advancement).
Supervises the Associate Director, Housing Services and summer housing staff providing guidance, coaching and support and conducting performance evaluations.
Coordinates opening and closing of campus housing at the beginning and end of semesters and works with Residence Life to conduct health and safety inspections and take inventory. Oversees building facility issues and remedy these issues with Facilities and billing.
Provides housing occupancy and capacity data to university leadership and participates in strategic planning of housing occupancy and capacity for University. Assesses housing selection process and institutes any applicable changes based on assessment outcomes.
Coordinates student billing for housing and damage billing. Compiles revenue projection for campus housing. Applies and audits student billing for room charges and damage assessments.
Collaborates with university departments such as Facilities, Public Safety, Events Management, Advancement, Bursar, Student Life, etc throughout the year to address housing operations.

Master's Degree
4 years professional work experience
Master’s Degree in Student Affairs or Higher Education Administration
6 years of professional work experience.
Experience with StarRez.
Knowledge, Areas and Skills: Student Affairs; Customer Service; Business; Communication; Higher Education; Supervision of full-time staff.
Office environment: Sitting, typing, talking, walking, climbing stairs; Ability to respond to emergency situations, after hours on site.

Salary Range:
72,640.00-90,800.00
The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
