SUMMARY:
Looking for a Registered Nurse to contract as the Director of the CUA’s High Risk Medical Planning Department will lead the department in the management of the care of all children experiencing medical complexities, general medical conditions that make them vulnerable or surgical procedures that require general assessments related to the specific conditions, general therapies and interventions. This department is also responsible for educating the agency and community at large as it relates to community health issues and interventions. This department is responsible for the collection, confidential protection and filing of all medical records. Children and youth categorized as medically vulnerable or have medical complexities will be subject to home visitation in efforts to ensure safety, good health outcomes and parent/caregiver education and support.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited, board-certified RN program.
- Current nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board
- Minimum of one (1) Pediatric or Community nursing experience required
- Adhere to applicable city, county, state, federal laws, regulations, NET, NET Community Care, policies, and Department of Human Services (DHS) city and state, CBH licensure and CARF standards.
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Excel) and ability to work with various digital information systems
- Experience with quality improvement or data analysis preferred
- Cognitive skills as related to the position
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Current PA Child Abuse Clearance
- Current FBI Clearance
- Current PA Criminal Clearance
- Health Assessment and TB Test required
- Ability to work with diverse populations
ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work independently and manage program objectives with autonomy
- Demonstrated ability in program planning & implementation, staff oversight and delivery of quality services.
- Strong analytical, project management and communication skills
- Expertise in the health and medical care of children from birth to late teens is essential to the job.
- Familiarity or willingness to become familiar with the principles and practices of continuous quality improvement.
- Familiarity or willingness to become familiar with the Improving Outcomes for Children (IOC) philosophy and guidelines pertaining to the delivery of Child Welfare case-management services.
- Willingness to develop knowledge building community partnerships to assess the health needs of families and deliver informational sessions aligned with available community resources and support.
- Knowledge and ability to support all HRMP and CUA case-management staff with review of objective data and assessments for goal setting, problem solving and planning for intervention cases.
- Director is required to comply with any training requirements issued by the licensing agencies in Pennsylvania and or funding agency in Philadelphia.
- Requisite knowledge to ensure all safety interventions outlined in safety plans are effective, reliable and do not infringe on boundaries outlined by nursing board.
- Must meet the highest ethical standards in handling grant funds and distribution of funds.
- Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals and families as indicated in our corporate vision, mission, and values statements.
- Ability to communicate verbally in English, read written or typed information, communicate legibly in writing, speak English clearly, and hear voice in conversational tone.
- All duties requested by leadership aligned with position.
- Maintain a minimum of 10 hours of child welfare training every year.
