What’s attractive about the Director of Global Tax position?

  • Opportunity to lead and direct Quanex's global tax function across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
  • Strategic leadership role responsible for global tax planning, transfer pricing, compliance, audit defense, and financial reporting.
  • High visibility position partnering with executive leadership, Audit Committee, external auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisors.
  • Ability to influence global business strategy, acquisitions, restructurings, and tax-efficient cash management initiatives.
  • Lead implementation of global tax initiatives including OECD BEPS and Pillar Two compliance requirements

What Success Looks Like:

  • Lead and direct the Company's global tax function to minimize the Company's worldwide tax burden and ensure full compliance across all jurisdictions in which the Company operates.
  • Develop and execute global tax planning strategies that support organizational objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee transfer pricing policies, tax audits, tax reporting, and global tax compliance activities.
  • Monitor international tax law developments and assess impacts on the Company's tax structure and effective tax rate.
  • Build and develop a high-performing global tax function while supporting business growth and operational excellence

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • CPA required; MST or other advanced tax-related credential preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive corporate tax experience, including significant multinational tax leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience in international tax planning, transfer pricing, tax reporting, compliance, and audit management.
  • Prior leadership experience managing tax professionals and globally dispersed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, local, and international tax regulations, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, and foreign tax credits.
  • Experience with ASC 740 tax provisions, SOX compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and multinational tax operations.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or multi-entity multinational corporate tax experience strongly preferred.

The salary range for this position is of $166K - $190K with the potential to earn an annual bonus.
