Senior Director of Fundraising

Based in the Tri-State Area

We are a well-established, highly dynamic US-based non-profit organization with a strong track record of impact, financial stability, and professional operations. We run our organization with the efficiency, accountability, and strategic mindset of a successful business.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven fundraising professional to lead and expand our development efforts. This is a senior leadership role for someone who understands high-level donor engagement, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a proven ability to consistently generate significant revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute all major fundraising initiatives and campaigns
  • Cultivate, manage, and grow relationships with high-net-worth donors and key stakeholders
  • Personally conduct and lead donor meetings, presentations, and solicitation efforts
  • Develop strategies to raise $2M–$4M+ annually
  • Plan, organize, and oversee fundraising events from concept through execution
  • Mentor and train junior fundraising staff on best practices, donor relations, and development strategy
  • Work closely with leadership to drive long-term organizational growth and donor engagement
  • Utilize social media, digital platforms, and technology as core tools for public engagement and fundraising outreach

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience raising $2M–$4M+ annually
  • Strong existing network and book of donor contacts
  • Confident, polished, and experienced in leading donor meetings and closing gifts
  • Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Hands-on experience planning successful fundraising events
  • Passionate about building systems, mentoring staff, and growing teams
  • Tech-savvy and understands the power of digital fundraising, social media, and online engagement
  • Based in the Tri-State Area (required)
