The six-story, 146-key hotel is located just outside of downtown Missoula and offers a comprehensive range of amenities including a separate full-service restaurant and 22,000 square feet of meeting space, making it the second largest conference center in the state. Your Role

As Director of Food & Beverage, you’ll lead all food and beverage operations across the property, ensuring exceptional service, quality, profitability. You’ll oversee staffing, training, inventory, and compliance while driving innovation in menu offerings and guest experience. This role is ideal for someone who leads with Integrity, thrives on Grit, and believes in being Better Every Day.

What You’ll Do

  • Direct daily operations of food and beverage departments, including staffing and scheduling
  • Implement cost controls for food, beverage, and labor to maximize profitability
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards
  • Lead menu development, marketing initiatives, and special event planning
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements to enhance dining experience
  • Interview, hire, train, and evaluate food and beverage team members
  • Provide ongoing training and development to maintain high service standards
  • Maintain inventory control and oversee ordering procedures
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, including promotions and upselling
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Analyze operational reports to guide staffing and strategic decisions
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Proven ability to manage food and beverage operations, including budgeting and cost control
  • In depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in hospitality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing operational needs
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food & beverage management software

Education & Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in food and beverage leadership roles
  • Background in cost management, inventory control, and team development

Licenses & Certifications

  • TIPS or state equivalent of alcohol awareness training
  • ServSafe
