DevCo is seeking a full-time Director of Financial Reporting to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. Reportingto the Chief Accounting Officer, and as a key member of the Accounting and Finance team will you’ll manage the production of financial reporting for the DevCo family of companies and have responsibility for Corporate Accounting, and Audit and Tax compliance.

Pay Details: $175,000-$190,000/year

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Using Yardi, deliver credible and timely external and internal monthly and quarterly financial reports.In collaborationwith FP&A, present quarterly results to our ownership group and external stakeholders with analysis and implications for underlying businesses.
• Responsible for compliance of all financial reporting requirements as outlined in partnership agreements, loan and regulatory agreements.
• Assess current reporting and systems, identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
• Lead an ongoing implementation of Yardi Investment Accounting and Investment Manager and optimize utilization of Debt Manager module.
• Review financials, partnership agreements, loan documents, etc. to accurately incorporate financial structures into reporting software.
• Partner with Corporate Controller in year-end Audit and Tax return preparation by coordinating with external accounting firms.
• Lead monthly cash calls providing oversight for cash distributions, adhering to waterfall structures that drive the priority of distributions.
• Partner with the Corporate Controller to document and improve accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to maximize efficacy of software systems.
• Work cross functionally to communicate and present financial findings

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Technically strong in Accounting, CPA preferred
• Real Estate experience, Affordable Housing preferred.
• Experience gathering requirements and designing and delivering financial reports for internal and external use.
• Demonstrated success in presenting financial findings with in-depth analysis about the impact to the business.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining Yardi, or similar systems including MRI, Sage, Procore, Northspyre, Vena, including Investment Manager and Investment Accounting.
• Deep understanding of Audit and Tax compliance
• Experience managing Accounting teams with demonstrated success in an efficient, automated and compliant processes.
• Experience leading capital calls with adherence to waterfalls distribution model.
