Our client is a small but well-funded and rapidly growing federal government contractor entering an exciting phase of expansion. This is not a role for someone looking to manage a large, established finance organization. It is an opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys building processes, solving problems, partnering with executive leadership, and helping shape the infrastructure of a growing company.
Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Finance will be overseeing the company's financial operations while helping establish the financial foundation needed to support significant future growth. As part of a small leadership team, this individual will be wearing multiple hats, influencing strategic decisions, and having a highly visible impact across the organization.
The Director of Finance will also be overseeing the company's FP&A function and partnering closely with operations, contracts, HR, and business development.
What You Will Be Doing
Serving as the senior finance leader and trusted financial advisor to the President and executive leadership team.
Leading corporate finance activities including financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and general ledger oversight.

Collaborating with contracts and operations teams to improve project profitability, cost visibility, forecasting, and financial performance.
Developing financial KPIs and executive dashboards providing leadership with meaningful insight into company performance.
Evaluating financial and operational risks and recommending strategies for improving financial performance.
Helping build and scale the finance organization as the company continues growing.
