We are seeking a Director of Finance for Greenspring, our premier community in Springfield, VA, home to more than 1,900 residents. This community is part of Erickson Senior Living, a recognized market leader in senior housing and continuing care retirement communities, uniquely positioned for significant growth over the next several years—making this an exciting time to join our organization.

This person will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team This role is both strategic and hands-on—responsible for ensuring financial excellence while partnering with operational leaders to drive performance, mitigate risk, and support long-term success. How you will make an impact

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for the community

  • Establish and maintain strong accounting controls and efficient financial processes

  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of financial results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Partner with operations to support business decisions and financial performance

  • Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment

  • Identify and help mitigate business and enterprise risks

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that support effective financial operations

  • Coach, develop, and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning

Compensation: $135,000 -$150,000 per year

What you will need

  • Minimum of 7 years in a related/similar industry with at least the last 5+ years in a management/supervisory role.

  • CPA is a plus

  • Critical thinking ability required. Must be able to evaluate and solve complex problems and issues
