Job Description

Director Of Finance

Represents Jefferson Health Finance in a clinical region assignment working under the direction of Regional CFO. Supports planning, performance review, and initiative execution of assigned operating areas and programs. Heavily collaborates with operations leaders and coordinates service delivery across enterprise finance functions. Comfortable leading through influence in a matrix management model. Some on-site presence required with remote work balance at the determination of Regional CFO.

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Facilitates the annual operating budgeting for assigned operating areas; assists in the identification of performance improvement opportunities and develops the appropriate measurement and tracking to desired outcomes.
  • Supports performance analyses (e.g. budget variances and trends, labor, supplies, and volume performance drill-down etc.) and financial forecasts.
  • Supports capital and strategic business plan development as assigned.
  • Supports development of financial presentations and other key deliverables to the Regional CFO and other operations leaders.
  • Advises operations leaders on financial matters and represents finance team in operations meetings as directed by Regional CFO.
  • Serves as a liaison between operations and other Corporate Finance functions (e.g. financial accounting and reporting, enterprise budget and capital management, revenue cycle, supply chain, decision support, etc.) as well as other corporate services functions.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • BS in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Finance or a related Field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 7 plus years of progressively responsible finance experience within a hospital system, health care setting or corporate office for a large organization.
  • Experience in a large academic healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Experienced user of standard financial systems/tools in healthcare setting (i.e. Workday/Lawson/Cerner, budgeting system, business intelligence dashboards, etc.)
