We are founder-led, 75+ location regulated consumer lending business headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario.
We are entering a structural upgrade phase that includes:
• Migration from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Automation of high-volume reconciliation workflows
• Offshore BPO orchestration (Philippines / India)
• Transition from manual accounting processes to exception-based, rule-driven systems
This role reports directly to the CEO.
The Mandate
We are hiring a Director of Finance who can architect and lead a full finance systems transformation.
Within 12 months, this individual must:
1. Lead full ERP migration (GP → D365 Business Central).
2. Reduce the monthly close cycle materially within 6 months.
3. Automate at least 97% of recurring manual reconciliations.
4. Implement exception-based workflows for high-volume PAD and bank activity.
5. Establish SLA-driven governance for offshore partners.
6. Deliver a clean audit with zero material adjustments.
7. Fully own treasury and liquidity oversight across branch locations, and digital lending.
Target Profile
Designation: CPA (mandatory)
Experience:
• 8+ years progressive finance leadership
• Multi-location retail, fintech, or regulated lending environment
• Personally led an ERP implementation or major system overhaul
• Direct oversight of offshore or BPO teams
• Comfortable designing automation logic and workflow architecture
We are specifically looking for candidates who personally owned ERP configuration decisions. Participation on steering committees is not sufficient.

Automation mindset is more important than ERP certification.
Candidates coming exclusively from slow-moving corporate environments are unlikely to be a fit.
Compensation
We are targeting upper-quartile Controllers ready to step into Head of Finance responsibility, or existing Directors who have led real transformation mandates.
Compensation will be evaluated on a candidate basis based on their real experience and velocity they can add to the business.
