Job Description

Our award-winning client is seeking a Director Of Federal Sales(Remote) to join their team.The Director of Federal Sales will be responsible for driving growth and expanding the company's presence in the federal and DoD markets. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record of scaling federal sales in a startup environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to increase federal and DoD business.
  • Transform existing contracts into larger, more valuable programs.
  • Identify and pursue high-value federal opportunities aligned with the company's capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in federal agencies and the DoD.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and executive teams to ensure offerings meet federal needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and high-level meetings.
  • Provide regular updates on federal sales pipeline, performance, and forecasts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in federal sales, with a focus on DoD contracts.
  • Experience growing federal contracts from small engagements to large-scale programs in a startup environment.
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong network of contacts within federal agencies and the DoD.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and navigate complex sales cycles

Required Skills:

  • Development and execution of federal sales strategies.

  • Leading and mentoring a high-performing federal sales team.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

  • Consistently achieve and exceed annual federal sales targets.
  • Increase the average contract value of existing federal/DoD programs.
  • Expand the company's federal client base.
  • Improve win rates for federal contract bids.
  • Build and develop a high-performing federal sales team.
