
The Director of Faculty Experience Initiatives supports faculty lifespan processes and programs spanning hiring, onboarding, retention, belonging, and thriving. Working under the direction of the Associate Provost for Faculty Excellence and Mission Integration, the Director provides implementation, coordination, assessment, and sustained follow-through across initiatives related to mission-aligned and equity-minded hiring; teacher-scholar engagement with mission; and faculty well-being and thriving. Grounded in LMU’s Catholic, Jesuit, and Marymount traditions, this position advances the University’s commitments to equity, justice, and the common good through the accompaniment of faculty across career stages via programs, support structures, and engagement initiatives. The Director collaborates closely with the Center for Faculty Development, the Office of Mission Engagement, college and department leadership, and Institutional Research and Decision Support. This role is part of LMU’s cross-divisional Mission Integration initiative and works in close coordination with Mission Integration personnel across units.

Requisite Qualifications
·Typically a Master’s degree in a related field and a record of scholarly achievementor equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
·Minimum of three years of experience in faculty affairs, faculty development, or academic administration, with demonstrated involvement in faculty hiring, retention, and/or thriving initiatives.
·Experience with Catholic, Jesuit, and Marymount values and educational traditions through professional practice and/or educational background.
·Demonstrated experience supporting institutional transformation, culture and climate change, or large-scale equity minded initiatives in higher education.
·Experience working with survey data, climate assessments, or program evaluation to inform evidence-based improvement.
·Proven ability to navigate conflict, disagreement, and complex institutional dynamics with emotional intelligence, discretion, and integrity.
·Strong facilitation, communication, organizational, and relationship building skills across diverse constituencies.

Salary range
$78,600.00 - $102,200.00 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
