Director of Facilities
You in This Role are an experienced facilities leader who thrives in fast-growth, operationally complex environments and knows how to bring structure, organization, and scalability to rapidly evolving operations. You are equally comfortable leading expansion projects and buildouts as you are walking facilities, solving operational issues in real time, managing vendors, improving preventative maintenance programs, and helping teams stay ahead of growth. You know how to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, communicate proactively, and operate with urgency in environments where priorities can shift quickly. Most importantly, you are a visible leader and strong coach who can develop people, build scalable processes, and help create the operational backbone needed to support a rapidly growing manufacturing organization.
A Day in the Life
No two days will look exactly the same in this role. One morning may involve walking a manufacturing facility to address operational concerns, reviewing preventative maintenance priorities, and coordinating security vendor updates. The afternoon may involve touring a potential new facility, meeting with contractors on a buildout timeline, troubleshooting parking and occupancy challenges, or partnering with HR and Operations on expansion planning.

The People
At Unusual Machines, we are building something ambitious. We move quickly, solve problems in real time, and continue scaling while building infrastructure around us.
The people who succeed here are adaptable, accountable, collaborative, operationally minded, and willing to step in wherever needed to help the organization grow.
We are not looking for someone to simply maintain facilities. We are looking for someone who can help scale them.
One More Thing
Facilities emergencies do not always happen on a schedule, and growth at UMAC is not slowing down anytime soon.
This role requires someone who is energized by solving problems, building systems, supporting teams, and helping create operational stability inside a rapidly evolving environment.
If you enjoy building while flying, creating order from growth, and helping shape the future of a scaling organization, we would love to meet you.
About Us

Our brands - Rotor Riot and Fat Shark - are two of the most respected names in FPV and have helped shape the industry through e-commerce, product development, and a deep connection with the pilot community.
We’re expanding into enterprise and defense - bringing our obsessive attention to performance, design, and U.S.-based manufacturing into high-stakes environments like search and rescue, STEM education, and military innovation.
