Job Description

About Jetson:

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use. We believe in a future that is 100% electric and 100% better.

Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, yet adoption of solutions like heat pumps remains slow due to cost and complexity. Jetson is solving this by building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company — making clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable.

We rely heavily on technology, automation, and data to scale this impact. At Jetson, we value people who are excellent at their craft, curious about new tools (including AI), and motivated to continuously improve how work gets done.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for a sharp, execution-oriented Facilities Manager to own Jetson's physical footprint from

coast to coast. This is a newly created role built for someone who thrives in fast-scaling environments

— someone who can stand up a new market location in weeks, build vendor relationships that actually

hold, and keep our existing facilities running cleanly and cost-effectively.

You'll work directly with the CFO and across Finance, Operations, and Field teams to ensure Jetson's

facilities infrastructure is always one step ahead of our growth.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead end-to-end site selection and acquisition for new Jetson locations across the US and Canada
  • Conduct market analysis, site visits, and zoning reviews to identify optimal facility types (warehouse, office, hybrid)
  • Negotiate and review commercial leases, LOIs, and licenses in coordination with legal counsel
  • Build and manage a scalable playbook for rapid site stand-up — from signed lease to operational in minimum time
  • Coordinate with Finance on capital expenditure planning, security deposits, and rent escalation modeling
  • Build and manage a national vendor network for cleaning, security, HVAC, electrical, landscaping,
  • and general maintenance
  • Lead RFP processes, contract negotiations, and ongoing vendor performance reviews
  • Establish SLAs and accountability frameworks to ensure vendors meet Jetson's standards across every location
  • Develop preferred vendor lists and backup options for each market to eliminate single-point-of-failure risk
  • Manage facilities-related budgets, purchase orders, and invoice approvals
  • Own day-to-day operations and maintenance across all Jetson locations — warehouses, offices,
  • and field service hubs
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to protect assets and minimize unplanned downtime
  • Ensure all facilities meet health, safety, and building code standards in each jurisdiction (US and Canadian provinces)
  • Oversee workspace configuration for new and existing sites including signage, equipment layout, and storage design
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for landlord relationships and property management companies
  • Manage facilities-related insurance documentation, certificate of insurance compliance, and regulatory filings
  • Design scalable systems and processes for facilities management that can grow with Jetson's expansion footprint
  • Build templates, trackers, and SOPs so that every new site launch runs from a repeatable, documented playbook
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, and Finance on market launch timelines and facilities readiness milestones
  • Anticipate capacity needs 6–18 months out and proactively identify and qualify future sites
  • Report on facilities KPIs including cost per square foot, utilization, vendor performance, and lease obligations

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of facilities management experience, ideally in a multi-site, high-growth environment
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial lease negotiation and site acquisition
  • Strong vendor management track record — from sourcing through contract and ongoing accountability
  • Experience operating in both US and Canadian markets is a strong asset
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where you often have to build the process as you go
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills — you track details and hit deadlines
  • Financial literacy: comfortable working with budgets, OpEx/CapEx distinctions, lease abstracts, and variance reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to executive leadership
  • Proficiency with tools like Google Workspace, project management software, and facilities/lease tracking systems
  • Experience with modern tools, including AI, to automate and make your day more efficient.
  • Background in home services, HVAC, electrical, or construction-adjacent industries preferred
  • Experience with industrial or warehouse engineering (zoning, flow design, 5S methodology) preferred
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP for purchase order and budget management preferred
  • CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or equivalent credential preferred

About Jetson

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100M homes across North America away from burning fossil fuels to sustainable energy use. Here at Jetson, we believe in a future that is 100% electric and 100% better.

Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, which can be dramatically reduced by converting to heat pumps, however, adoption lags due to high cost and friction in the retrofit process today. Solving one layer of the value chain won’t move the needle on adoption. Mass adoption will come when it becomes a no-brainer for homeowners to transition. That is why Jetson is building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company. Jetson makes it simple, transparent and affordable for everyone to get a heat pump.
