About the role

The External Integration Platforms organisation consists of more than 40 talented and committed subject matter experts spread across the globe. Heading up the area, you will take end-to-end ownership and governance of API and EDI/B2B integration platforms. The role ensures these business-critical services remain stable, secure, scalable, and compliant, while continuously improving their reliability and operational maturity.

You will ensure the integration platforms are future-ready, resilient, and capable of supporting DSV’s global growth ambitions.

Your key responsibilities:

• Set the strategic direction, define business targets, and create a clear roadmap for the area, while developing people and ensuring an inspiring and motivating working environment.
• Hold end‑to‑end accountability for service ownership and governance of API and EDI/B2B integration platforms (including IBM API Connect and IBM Sterling Integrator), ensuring robust operational control, compliance, and lifecycle management across the enterprise.
• Be responsible for platform stability, scalability, performance, and resilience, ensuring robust risk management, regulatory compliance, and security controls across all externally facing integration services in close collaboration with Compliance, Infrastructure, and Security.
• Drive operational excellence across integration platforms, acting as the enterprise SME and decision authority to ensure stable operations, effective incident and escalation management, and continuous improvement through standardization, automation, and proactive monitoring in close partnership with Support and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Own and drive the platform roadmap in alignment with Architecture, leading modernization and evolution across hybrid and multi‑cloud landscapes in close collaboration with engineering teams and strategic vendors.
• Oversee vendor performance and stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear accountability, effective escalation management, and timely, outcome‑focused communication.
• Ensure clear leadership reporting and communication on service health, risks, priorities, and roadmap progress, maintaining transparency through structured KPIs, dashboards, and regular updates to senior stakeholders.

This position is based either in Hedehusene or Horsens, Denmark.

About you

With proven experience governing enterprise integration platforms such as API Gateway, EDI/B2B, or middleware, you bring both strategic overview and operational depth. You thrive in complex, fast-changing environments where stability, compliance, and modernization must go hand in hand.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we expect you to have:

• Solid leadership background with an evident commitment to building high-performing teams and developing people.
• Well-founded understanding of security, compliance, and risk frameworks for externally exposed integration services.
• Experience with modernization initiatives, vendor collaboration, and hybrid cloud models.
• Proactive and visible leadership style with ability to set meaningful and clear directions and collaborate effectively across all organisational levels, functions, and cultures.
• High level of personal engagement, drive, independence, and integrity.
