Job Description

St. Mary’s College of Maryland (the College) at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Director of Enterprise Applications and Integration Services. The Director of Enterprise Applications and Integration Services serves as the institutional leader responsible for the ongoing operation, support, optimization, governance, and strategic direction of enterprise administrative systems supporting Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, Student Administration, Financial Aid, Advancement, Institutional Research, and other administrative functions. The position oversees enterprise application services, cloud-based applications, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms, application integrations, data exchange processes, reporting services, vendor relationships, and related business systems. This position reports to the Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer and is responsible for the strategic leadership, administration, governance, security, and operational support of the College’s enterprise applications and integration services environment. The salary range for this position is $122,000 to $140,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

The Director supervises enterprise application personnel, including the HR/Finance Cloud DBA, Student Cloud DBA, Business Analyst(s), and other assigned staff, and serves as the primary technology and operational leader for enterprise applications, cloud services, integrations, enterprise data services, and related technology solutions supporting the College.

The position is responsible for ensuring enterprise systems, cloud applications, integrations, and associated business processes effectively support the mission, goals, and strategic objectives of the College while maintaining appropriate levels of security, compliance, reliability, performance, data protection, and operational effectiveness.

The Director collaborates closely with Information Technology leadership, cybersecurity personnel, functional departments, vendors, consultants, and executive leadership to promote effective governance, secure operations, institutional data stewardship, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology services.

Non-sectarian since its founding, St. Mary's College of Maryland, a public Carnegie Baccalaureate, Arts and Sciences institution located in Historic St. Mary's City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., has been designated as Maryland's public honors college. Undergraduate and residential in nature, with a diverse coeducational student body numbering approximately 1700, St. Mary's emphasizes excellence in teaching. The institution was awarded a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in 1997. The quality of life is enhanced by the recreational opportunities of the Chesapeake region and close proximity to the amenities of Washington D.C., Baltimore and Richmond.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise applications, enterprise systems, cloud-based technologies, administrative technologies, or related information technology services.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise administrative systems, ERP platforms, cloud-hosted applications, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, or related enterprise technologies.
  • Experience managing system integrations, APIs, data exchanges, middleware technologies, or related integration services.
  • Experience with enterprise application security, identity and access management, governance processes, risk management, compliance activities, or audit remidiation efforts.
  • Experience with project management, business process analysis, operational planning, vendor management, and enterprise technology governance.
  • Experience with Workday, Anthology, Ellucian Banner or Colleague, Oracle PeopleSoft, or comparable enterprise ERP and administrative application platforms.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, data, governance, and institutional compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting enterprise integrations, APIs, middleware platforms, and secure data exchange services.
