Director of Engineering Program Management
As the director of Engineering Program Management, you are ultimately responsible for on-time execution of all new products in order to meet critical milestones and customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage project development and oversee implementation of the project.
- Plan project execution and collaborate with various stakeholders on resource and task assignments.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using a phase-gate approach.
- Set and communicate project milestones expectations to the team and stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Identify and highlight issues and conflicts within the projects to the stakeholders and management.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Coordinate activities, priorities, meetings, and communications ensuring alignment across all cross-functional teams while optimizing performance at a project level.
- Generate and monitor project risk mitigation plan and communicate it with the stakeholders and management.
- Continuously evaluate risks and take appropriate actions to mitigate.
- Monitor the bug reporting tool for effective coverage and timely resolution.
- Drive signoffs on various stages of the development and check for compliances.
- Run biweekly meetings with the management on overall status of the projects.
- Manage the project execution and trigger out-of-bounds flag in case execution metrics crosses acceptable boundaries.
- Help the team to compile a reporting tool, to extract and highlight the project metrics for an efficient and real time reporting purpose.
- Serve as the focal point for internal projects communications and communication with customers on the schedule.
- Drive the culture of continuous improvement by maintaining and running lesson learned sessions.
- Drive various teams to generate and maintain all documentation to comply with various standards and spec.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 10+ years of industry experience on project management, preferably with some background in silicon development or electronic system design.
- Proven success in leading multi-functional engineering team.
- Strong planning and organizing skills to set and manage priorities, adopt to changes and drive timely closures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to manage the detain to the target audience.
- Experience with IC product development for automotive market from concept to release.
