We are transforming how the LEGO Group leverages first-party customer data to power marketing, personalisation, and connected digital experiences.
At the center of this transformation is a Customer Data Foundation, a set of core platforms and capabilities that span identity, consent, data ingestion, and audience creation. Together, these systems enable the LEGO Group to build a trusted, unified view of the customer and make that data available for activation across global channels.
We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead this domain, owning both the technical direction and the engineering organization responsible for making customer data reliable, scalable, and usable across the company.
This is a critical leadership role operating across multiple teams (~5 teams), working at the intersection of data, platform engineering, and marketing technology.
This role sits within a broader leadership structure for the Account, Membership and Personalization Technology group, with clear ownership across strategy and organizational direction. Your focus will be on elevating a critical technical domain, strengthening engineering quality, improving consistency, and ensuring the platform delivers meaningful business value.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys going deep on complex systems, building strong teams, and delivering tangible outcomes in a high-impact space.
You’ll join a leadership team with strong momentum and meaningful achievements, supported by a platform that plays a central role in delivering marketing and personalization impact globally.
At the same time, there is a clear opportunity to further strengthen foundations, simplify complexity, and bring greater consistency to how decisions are made and executed. The team has strong capability and energy, and is well positioned to benefit from continued technical direction and leadership as it scales into its next phase.
This is a chance to shape a critical part of the organization, build on a solid base, and help unlock the next phase of growth and impact.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. However, please note we do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to any advertised closing date. So, if you're interested in this role we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
