Yearly Salary Range: $114,000 - $140,000 (based on qualifications)

Responsibilities

Under the General Supervision of the General Manager, the Director of Engineering oversees and manages the maintenance and repair of owner units, common areas and central systems such as water, air conditioning and electrical. Ensures guest and owner satisfaction and safety by providing efficient and courteous service to maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance plans. Responsible for maintaining individual units and public areas in good physical repair and maintaining aesthetically pleasing quality. Ensures maximum profitability while using resort standards for efficient use of equipment, tools and ordering of supplies.

  • Responsible for maintenance of all landscaping on property.
  • Manages and oversees the Landscaping staff.

Qualifications

  • Makes recommendations for improvement plans to the General Manager.
  • Attends Department Head meetings. Coordinates with other department on a regular basis to ensure the maximum efficiency an owner/guest satisfaction.
  • In coordination with the Chief Engineer, monitors present and future trends, systems, and practices of hotel technology, recommends justifiable future action.
  • In coordination with the Chief Engineer, monitors purchasing practices to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.

  • Develop, experiment and lead improvement of the team and operation.

  • Attends meetings and company gatherings as assigned.
