How You’ll Make a Difference (Essential Functions)
The Director, Education and Workforce Development is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic and personnel activities of Education and Workforce Development, including clinical education.  This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring the department’s goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic and annual goals and objectives for Agrace HospiceCare (Agrace). The Director leads the development of an organizational education strategy addressing current and future education needs through close work with organizational stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Development and coordination of education strategy
- Contribute to strategic planning of educational initiatives and organizational talent development
- Identify barriers to program delivery and find creative solutions that meet the needs of department customers
- Research and analyze organizational data, feedback and trends to determine and prioritize organization-wide education needs and determine methods and resources for addressing learning and performance.
Development, implementation, delivery coordination and measurement of education for Agrace staff
- Direct, design, develop, source, deliver and evaluate learning opportunities that support staff competency and skill development needs, including development of curriculum and supporting materials.
- Direct the organizational Learning Management System in collaboration with other department staff.
- Evaluate and engage in continuous improvement and process improvement activities to enhance current program and program offerings.
- Direct activities relating to agency wide orientation and the annual learning ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Direct and create programming that embraces progressive educational tools and strategies to continue to enhance learner engagement and information retention.
- Foster and ensure the delivery of quality education amongst all service lines.
- Direct the creation of agency-wide and department specific educational resources and materials to meet Agrace standards.
Manage Staff
- Hire, train, engage and retain department staff.
- Assign, direct and verify the work of direct reports.
- Assess staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, correction and development opportunities.
You Bring (

Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, organizational communication, or related field, required
- Master's degree in adult education, instructional design, organizational development or related field, preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing operations in an organizational level learning function and instructional design experience, required.
