Job Description

The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is now hiring an Assistant Professor and Director of Education Programs for the Aerospace Career Academy (ACA). This position is responsible for the management and administration of ERAU's high school aerospace career academy (ACA) program to include maintaining the overall quality and accreditation of the dual enrollment program and their middle and high school SMART@ER courses; acting as liaison between ERAU and appropriate public school districts, charter schools, and private schools; recruiting, screening, training, supervising, and evaluating full-time ACA directors and adjunct faculty; assisting students; and providing contract and budget oversight.

Gaetz Aerospace Career Academy is a premier cooperative partnership linking Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with secondary schools. Through this partnership, high schools can offer students the opportunity to enroll in Embry-Riddle courses for university credit. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in aviation, aerospace-related field, social sciences, business, or education.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience.
  • Secondary level career technical education required.
  • Management, organizational, public relations, technical, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Analytical skills with an in-depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or other doctorate level equivalent in education, engineering, or aerospace-related field.
