Job Description

  • Provide visionary leadership and oversight for all educational programs, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory standards. 
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. 
  • Supervise and support education staff including teachers, aides, and administrative personnel; provide coaching, training, and professional development. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate team meetings, IEP conferences, and family engagement activities. 
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and agency regulations, including special education law (IDEA), state education codes, and accreditation standards. 
  • Oversee curriculum design, assessment tools, and instructional methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students with ASD and/or IDD. 
  • Collaborate with clinical, residential, and administrative teams to provide integrated services. 
  • Manage budgets, grants, and reporting requirements related to educational services. 
  • Monitor student progress, program outcomes, and data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. 
  • Makes determination regarding the Academy’s curriculum in consultation with the certified staff 
  • Ensures correct educational programming and participates in the intake and discharge planning for residential students. 
  • Serves as a behavioral resource; consults with staff to prepare Functional Behavior Assessments to develop Behavior Intervention Plans; determines appropriate action in cases of serious behavioral incidents 
  • Serve as liaison with local education authorities, external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. 
  • Uphold and model trauma-informed and person-centered practices in all aspects of leadership and service delivery. 
  • Maintain active certification in agency-approved crisis intervention training, including all required levels of Physical and Psychological Management Training (PMT). Apply training techniques appropriately to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals served, staff, and others in the environment. Demonstrate competency in de-escalation strategies, safe physical interventions, and adherence to agency protocols.
