Job Description

We’re looking for a Director, Digital Employee Experience to join us in London

We are seeking a Director of Digital Employee Experience (DEX) to lead the day‑to‑day delivery and continuous improvement of digital workplace services across Liberty Global’s multi‑country operations.

Reporting into the VP Digital Employee Experience, this role is the operational backbone of the DEX function, translating strategic vision into executed plans, reliable services and measurable outcomes. You will be accountable for the performance of the Service Desk, workplace engineering teams and programme delivery workstreams, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality employee technology experience across all Liberty Global geographies.

This is a highly visible leadership role with real scale and impact. You will oversee the execution of workplace programmes including new office builds and moves, AV and meeting room technology deployments, and site connectivity initiatives, owning delivery timelines, budgets and stakeholder communications.

You will also work closely with senior stakeholders to assess the utilisation and value of existing AI and automation platforms within the digital workplace, providing data‑driven recommendations to optimise, consolidate or evolve the current landscape.

This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on leader who enjoys operating at pace, balancing service stability with continuous improvement, and shaping how technology supports tens of thousands of employees every day.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the Service Desk, workplace engineering and programme delivery teams across Liberty Global’s geographies, ensuring service levels and quality standards are consistently met.

  • Planning and delivering workplace technology programmes including office moves, AV and meeting room technology rollouts, and site connectivity upgrades.

  • Owning incident, problem and change management across the digital workplace estate, driving root‑cause resolution and preventing recurrence.

  • Managing key vendors and suppliers, holding partners accountable for delivery quality, performance and cost.

  • Assessing AI and automation platforms across the digital workplace, analysing adoption, utilisation and value, and presenting clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.

  • Driving adoption and effective use of existing workplace tools such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams and Copilot through enablement and engagement initiatives.

  • Working closely with Security, Procurement, Facilities and OpCo technology teams to ensure aligned, secure and effective service delivery.

We tend to look for people with:

Essential

  • Strong leadership experience within digital workplace, end‑user technology or IT service delivery environments.

  • Proven capability running Service Desk operations, workplace engineering teams and technology programme delivery at scale.

  • Solid programme management skills with end‑to‑end accountability for complex workplace initiatives.

  • Experience evaluating enterprise technology platforms, including AI or automation tools, using data to inform decisions.

  • Credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to translate technical complexity into clear business outcomes.

  • A pragmatic, resilient and solutions‑oriented mindset, comfortable operating in fast‑moving environments.

Desirable

  • Experience working within large, complex or multi‑country organisations.

  • Knowledge of telco or media environments.

  • Strong understanding of IT service management practices and continuous improvement approaches.

Preferred education / qualification

  • Degree in IT, engineering, business or another analytically‑focused discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • ITIL or similar service management certification is a plus.

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary + bonus (where applicable)

  • 25 days annual leave with the option to purchase 5 more

  • Access to wellbeing and mental health benefits including the Calm app, personal medical, critical illness cover and dental insurance

  • Matched pension contribution up to 10% (UK only)

  • 24 hours of paid Volunteer Time Off

  • Discounted gym and wellness memberships

  • Access to our car benefit scheme

  • Access to our online learning platform to support your continued development

  • The opportunity to join an innovative, fast‑paced and passionate team
