Director of Development
The Director of Development is responsible for Reena Foundation’s annual giving program (all yearly gifts under $10,000) and the identification, cultivation, and stewardship activities related to the acquisition of intermediate donors ($10,000 to $100,000).
ACCOUNTABILITY AND KEY RELATIONSHIPS: The Director of Development will report directly to the Executive Director. This position will maintain crucial relationships with donors, staff, the Board of Directors, and other volunteers.
KEY MANDATES:
-Primary accountability for the annual giving program (under $10K)
-Primary accountability for the intermediate giving program ($10K to $100K). Will develop and manage a portfolio of at least 20-30 intermediate gift prospects and identify a minimum of 5 new intermediate gift prospects per quarter
-Assist in securing sponsorships for events
-Responsible for implementation of stewardship strategy for 120 current endowment fund holders
- Assist with the implementation of a Legacy and Bequests program
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree, Background in Accounting/Finance an asset
3 to 5 years experience in a non profit
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office; experience with Raiser’s Edge an asset
Excellent communication and writing skills
