Job Location: Norcross - GA
Position Type: Full TimeThe Director of Development position is a new role at InCommunity, in a department that is rebuilding. Reporting to and partnering with the Chief Development Officer, this role is integral in generating contributed revenue through developing strong and meaningful relationships with current and prospective philanthropists and corporate supporters.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Corporate Giving Initiatives: Serve as a primary driver of corporate giving. Identify and qualify prospects, cultivate relationships, draft compelling proposals, and steward contributions in collaboration with the Chief Development Officer (CDO).
- Manage a Major Gifts Portfolio: Build and maintain a portfolio of major donors contributing up to $25,000 annually. Apply moves management strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors as a key member of the major gifts team.
- Oversee Signature and Grassroots Events: Provide leadership in the planning and execution of fundraising events, including the annual gala, the Golden Goals Awards Ceremony, and smaller grassroots initiatives.
- Support Annual Giving Campaigns: Assist the CDO in designing and implementing annual giving strategies, including quarterly appeals, recurring donor programs, Giving Tuesday initiatives, and year-end campaigns.
- Assist with Grant Reporting: Contribute to timely and accurate grant reporting, ensuring compliance with funder requirements and internal standards.
- Maintain Accurate Donor Records: Ensure detailed and up-to-date documentation of all donor interactions and fundraising activity within the organization’s CRM system.

QualificationsEducation, Certifications & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certified Fundraising Executive preferred.
- Five (5) years of related work experience working in a nonprofit development department with progressive experience is preferred.
- Proven experience writing successful grant proposals and managing grant reporting.
- Experience designing and executing campaigns for individual donors, major donors, and planned giving.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will supervise volunteers but will have no direct supervision of paid staff.
