Job Description

An established OPWDD provider is seeking an experienced leader to direct operations of a vibrant day program serving 40+ young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The program is recognized for its creative community engagement, strong family partnerships, and commitment to the highest regulatory standards. The Director will provide strategic leadership, ensure compliance, foster innovation, and maintain a supportive, high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Program Leadership: Set vision, goals, and budget while developing meaningful, community-based activities aligned with individual Life Plans.
• Staff & Operations Management: Supervise program supervisors and DSPs, ensuring appropriate staffing, positive culture, and achievement of performance metrics.
• Quality & Compliance Oversight: Monitor incident reporting, maintain audit-ready documentation, and ensure adherence to OPWDD regulations and standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as primary liaison with families, Care Managers, school districts, and community partners, ensuring open and proactive communication.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience supervising large staff groups.
• Expertise in OPWDD regulations, incident management, and EVV/EMR systems.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with families, staff, and external partners.
• Creative program development and problem-solving capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in OPWDD day programs, SEMP, or related community services.
• Demonstrated success managing multi-site teams of 30+ staff.
• Willingness to travel regularly between program sites.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
