WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Director of Cyber Defense Operations, ITC will lead a diverse, cross-functional team that collaborates and supports a global capability across the organization with a variety of stakeholders from technical resources to business stakeholders and lawyers. The team operates on both tactical and strategic levels. You will drive process improvement efforts and derive recommendations to eliminate incidents before they occur. Working with the global management team, you will partner closely with the Cyber Security Engineering, Data Protection, Windows Client/Server Platform and Cloud Security/Automation teams to assess, analyze, and optimize operational tasks, functions, and processes with the local team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a leader who will be leading the team responsible for researching and analyzing current and emerging threats and vulnerabilities, enabling our Security Incident Team in detecting and responding to incidents, and managing our attack surface. Our ideal candidate is highly experienced in the cyber defense field, believes in a business risk balanced approach, and excels in a highly-matrixed, people-focused environment.

Preferred Skillsets and Experience

  • 10-15 years of dedicated experience in cyber threat intelligence, security operations, or incident response, with a proven track record in an enterprise or global environment. 5 years experience leading global cyber security teams.
  • Expert knowledge of Incident Detection and Response, Threat Intelligence, and Attack Surface Management with the ability to identify both tactical and strategic solutions using strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable in managing and communicating deliverables and making responsible business decisions.
  • Develop and execute on vision, mission, roadmaps and budgets with specific plans to mature the Security Technology Management program.
  • You know how to build and motivate high performing teams and individuals and help them grow to their potential.
  • Provide active direction, periodically review team results, and identify and execute adjustments to ensure achievement of team goals and planned outcome while contributing to the overall business strategy.
  • Ensure alignment between business strategy and direction. Support strategic technology planning by identifying, tracking, and experimenting with new and potentially disruptive technologies.
  • Demonstrate an ability to translate business trends and strategies into technical services and solutions as it relates to Information Security planning and business imperatives.
  • Create compelling strategic visions for Information Security Management and see them through to fruition by influencing senior executives and other stakeholders

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As the Director of Cyber Defense Operations located at Nike’s India Technology Center (ITC), your role in the Cyber Defense team is to provide strategic and day to day leadership to a team of Cyber Analysts and Engineers focused on managing operational cyber defense activities, improving operational efficiency, and risk reduction across Nike’s vast technical environment. This role is focused on Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering, and Attack Surface Management.

  • Partnering across Information Security, Technology, and the Business to reduce cyber risk
  • Solving complex problems, such as supporting the response to high-risk vulnerabilities or detecting emerging threats
  • Delivering cutting edge intelligence to inform Nike’s response to all types of cyber threats.
