The role: We are looking for a culinarian that equally thrives in the kitchen and in the headquarters office helping drive strategic initiatives for the company.  We are looking for someone that will bring innovative ideas, ingredients, and techniques to our menu, and ensure successful partnerships with all our suppliers. The ideal candidate will love to mentor and train our store members, have an eye for in-store operational details, and be tech-savvy to manage facets of our restaurant ERP system. We operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and rewarding environment that always strives to be the best. This position reports to the VP of Operations.
Responsibilities
Culinary:
- Facilitate biannual menu changes: menu R&D, cost analysis, recipe / SOP development, and team training
- Manage nutritional information in our nutrition database
- Focus on Continuous Process Improvement, seeking out operational efficiencies and food safety protocols
- Store level support and training using a combination of systems and tools, and hands on validation of recipes and food quality and consistency standards
- Support Operations Team in GM development and SOP creation and validation
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team on store promotions and periodic photo shoots
Supply Chain and Procurement:
- Manage vendor relationships and all levels of supply chain
- Be the main point of contact for all supply chain challenges and communication
- Keep all ordering systems current, including supplier ordering portals and ERP order lists
- Drive cost savings through negotiations, food/packaging cost management and strategic partnerships
- Use restaurant ERP to manage all facets of our purchasing and cost control operation
New Restaurant Openings (NRO):
- Assist in kitchen layout and design for efficient operations
- Work with Facilities Team to confirm specs and skus of kitchen equipment
- Place initial small wares order and help to set up kitchen space
- Train new GMs and store teams on culinary and food safety expectations

Qualifications:
- At least ten years of restaurant operations experience; fast-casual and multi-unit restaurant experience preferred
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Familiar with restaurant ERP systems and nutrition database systems
- Able to be hands-on in the kitchen while feeling equally comfortable working behind a desk
- Collaborative, open to feedback, and works well in a team environment
