
Job Purpose: The Director provides counseling services to students and is responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering the policy and educational/prevention programming that targets mental health and substance abuse issues. The Director manages the programming, promotion, and implementation of student mental and physical health activities as well as provides oversight of student health management. This position closely collaborates with the Director of Student Engagement and Director of Recreation and Wellness and serves as liaison with the Sentara Student Health Clinic.

Provides mental health expertise in sexual assault cases when requested or participated in Sexual Misconduct Board proceedings
Student Engagement and Prevention:
Develop and maintain student health social media presence to publicize wellness information, initiatives, and events to students
