Job Description

The Director of Corporate Safety will develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Ensures that staff maintain the assigned safety metrics, training, certifications and other administrative requirements related to safety operations and regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and
  • Implement process to drive compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and
  • Provides technical and administrative support to the safety reporting
  • Champion and promote human organizational performance principles through deed, training and implementation of supporting programs.
  • Promote and conduct learning events that identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health
  • Conducts employee training on applicable safety
  • Participate in safety organizations to promote safety and guide safety elements applicable to XKIG’s business areas.
  • Provide and coordinate safety messaging for the company.
  • Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and
  • Mentor direct reports through 1 on 1 sessions
  • Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety
  • Reviews accident and incident
  • Performs other related duties as

Competencies:

  • Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related

Work Environment:

Generally, works in an office environment and visits work sites as needed

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of work

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field
  • At least five years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial environment

Preferred education and experience:

  • Industry certifications such as CSP or CUSP

Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.

Work authorization requirements:

Must meet I-9 requirements.
