Director of Content Sharing & Adaptation, EMEA & MX/LATAM


This role will oversee and manage the Global Adaptation team in EMEA and MX/LATAM markets which enables CondéNast’s global content sharing strategy. Through collaboration with brand teams, including the Editorial, Audience, Video, Social, as well as Content Operations and other cross-functional teams, the Director of Content Sharing and Adaptation will collaborate with the Sr Director of Content Planning, Sharing and Adaptation overseeing APAC markets toensure the success of translation and localization of globally shared content across allCondé Nast brands. This role will sit in EMEA or MX.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Sr Director of Content Planning, Sharing and Adaptation to develop and evolve the content sharing strategy and guidelines, working cross-functionally with Editorial, Audience Development, and Analytics teams to ensure an audience-driven approach that helps global teams meet their KPIs

  • Support the management of global translation and adaptation operations and teams in EMEA and MX/LATAM, including the use of freelance budgets and resources efficiently

  • Support brand(s) in translation and adaptation

  • Track performance of globally-shared content and provide insights to continuously improve content sharing strategy

  • Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in translation processes and tools, e.g. AI translation, automation, application programming interfaces (API), etc.

  • Collaborate with the Sr Director of Content Planning, Sharing and Adaptation for APAC markets in setting and improving adaptation workflows, tools, and processes

  • Serve as a connector across teams in multiple timezones to ensure completion of projects within established timelines and remove any blockers preventing the translation and adaptations teams from operating ideally

  • Help manage processing of freelancer invoices (in MX)

Skills & Requirements:

  • A strategic thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Experience in translations, journalism or related fields

  • Proven experience in training and managing a team, having demonstrated leadership and growth mind-set

  • Strong knowledge of SEO

  • An ability to grasp new concepts quickly, take initiative and work independently with an eye for detail

  • Passionate, curious and willing to collaborate, test and learn

  • Previous experience working with global markets and managing teams
