The Chicago School is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as Director of Clinical Training for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program.

The Director of Clinical Training provides leadership and oversight for practicum and internship experiences, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, ethical and professional practice expectations, and state licensure requirements. This position works closely with students, faculty, site supervisors, and community partners to support high-quality clinical training experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all practicum and internship placement processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based clinical training sites.
  • Ensure compliance with CACREP standards, institutional policies, and state regulations.
  • Support students throughout their clinical training experiences.
  • Provide consultation and training to site supervisors.
  • Collaborate with faculty regarding student development, professional dispositions, and clinical competencies.
  • Monitor and assess student learning outcomes related to field experiences.
  • Participate in accreditation, assessment, and program evaluation activities.
  • Support the program's commitment to multicultural competence, social justice, and inclusive counseling practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision or a closely related field.
  • Licensed mental health professional eligible for licensure in Illinois.
  • Experience supervising counseling students in practicum and internship settings.
  • Knowledge of CACREP standards and counselor preparation.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with clinical training administration, accreditation, and assessment processes.
