
The Director of Casino Marketing & Special Events Analytics serves as the VIP casino marketing analytics and strategic data governance, orchestrating the full analytical lifecycle to drive profitable growth while maintaining disciplined reinvestment aligned with company objectives. This role represents the primary authority on casino marketing data, customer segmentation, reinvestment strategy, and performance measurement. The Director independently or in partnership with senior leadership defines business questions, executes sophisticated analytical work, cultivates actionable insights, and oversees the implementation and measurement of resulting business decisions. This position is both strategically visionary and deeply hands-on, requiring expert-level technical mastery, refined judgment, and the ability to operate with autonomy while maintaining close alignment with leadership direction.
VIP DATABASE OWNERSHIP & ADMINISTRATION
Serve as the distinguished steward and administrator of the VIP casino marketing database, ensuring exceptional accuracy, integrity, and strategic refinement of data. Oversee customer acquisition, segmentation, reactivation, and growth strategies with meticulous attention to detail. Ensure business rules for VIP player eligibility, segmentation, and exclusions are applied with precision and consistency.
ADVANCED ANALYTICS & AUTONOMOUS EXECUTION
Independently orchestrate the full analytical lifecycle without reliance on direct reports or external teams: define business questions, establish scope and success criteria, query raw data, perform sophisticated analysis, develop refined visualizations, present findings, and oversee execution of business decisions. Ensure analytics elegantly support growth initiatives while maintaining disciplined and desirable reinvestment levels.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Demonstrate master-level SQL proficiency to independently address all data requirements. Design, write, and optimize complex queries to analyze VIP segment performance with precision. Translate sophisticated datasets into actionable insights without dependency on external data or business intelligence teams.
CASINO MARKETING PERFORMANCE, REINVESTMENT & GROWTH
Lead comprehensive analysis of hosted player performance with a focus on achieving desirable reinvestment levels that support sustainable growth. Monitor results with discerning attention, identify reinvestment exceptions, and partner with leadership to optimize marketing investment. Ensure reinvestment strategies harmonize profitability, premium guest value, and long-term revenue growth.
VIP & SPECIAL EVENTS ANALYTICS
Own analytical planning and post-event evaluation for VIP and casino marketing events with strategic sophistication. Develop event pro formas and post-event P&Ls, assess reinvestment efficiency, and identify growth opportunities driven by refined event strategy and precision guest targeting.
SPECIAL EVENTS OPERATIONS
Provide refined strategic stewardship and management of special events marketing operations, ensuring meticulous accuracy, compliance, and executional excellence through direct reports. This includes supervising the development of special event customer qualification lists; reviewing and approving event terms and conditions, fact sheets, and invitation copy; and ensuring alignment between operational execution and approved marketing strategy.
Oversee team-led operations related to slot tournaments, table tournaments, and promotional giveaways, including score tracking, validation of final winners lists, guest registration and table assignments, ticket tracking and printing accuracy, and the preparation and review of cash forms and required tax documentation (including W-2s) for events with cash payouts. While not typically hands-on in day-of execution, the Director is accountable for establishing rigorous controls, reviewing outputs, resolving exceptions, and ensuring operational integrity across all special events.
REPORTING, GOVERNANCE & DECISION SUPPORT
Design and oversee recurring and ad hoc reporting frameworks supporting executive decision-making with strategic sophistication. Serve as a distinguished strategic advisor by translating complex growth and reinvestment analytics into refined strategic guidance.
