Job Description
Overview
The Director of Career Development and Employer Relations works closely with the Dean, Faculty, and Staff of the Touro University Graduate School of Business to lead and oversee the School's career development programs and employer engagement activities. The Director also collaborates with career services professionals across Touro University as the Graduate School of Business evolves into the new Touro School of Business, serving both graduate and undergraduate business students. This is a 20-hour per week position. The Director is expected to be on campus at least three days per week to maximize opportunities for in-person interaction with students, faculty, staff, employers, and other members of the School community.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Career Resource Center Canvas shell, including posting and removing job and internship opportunities, enrolling students, updating informational resources, and ensuring that content remains current and useful.
- Implement and administer Handshake for Graduate School of Business students.
- Meet with, advise, and respond professionally to students in person, via Zoom, and by email regarding career development, internships, and employment opportunities.
- Communicate regularly with students about career resources, programs, events, internships, employment opportunities, and other relevant information.
- Develop and expand internship and full-time employment opportunities by cultivating relationships with employers, alumni, and other external partners.
- Develop and deliver career development programming, including workshops and events related to résumé and cover letter development, interviewing, networking, internship and job searches, and other career-readiness topics.
- Integrate PitchVantage's interview preparation package into the School's career development programming and encourage effective student use of the platform.
- Represent the School at career fairs and other relevant recruiting and employer-engagement events.
- Maintain records of student interactions and provide monthly reports on the number of students served, the nature of each interaction, and relevant outcomes.
- Track and report monthly on internship and full-time employment placements, including the organizations in which students are placed.
- Collaborate with the dean, faculty, staff, and other Touro career services units to support the transition of the Graduate School of Business into a Touro School of Business that serves both graduate and undergraduate business students.
- Work with the dean, faculty, staff, alumni, employers, and other Touro career services units to increase internship and full-time employment opportunities for students.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
- Master of Science Preferred.

- Effectively manage and organize daily tasks independently and with a team while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

Maximum Salary
USD $24.04/Hr.
