The Director of Business Operations (DBO) will provide strategic and operational support to the GH&B Manufacturing Lead. This role is responsible for anticipating and prioritizing activities and key issues, ensuring timely execution of initiatives, and aligning business processes across the GH&B Manufacturing Leadership Team (LT). This role supports a dynamic global team.
What You Will Achieve
Proactively support GH&B Manufacturing Lead assessing calendar needs and actions based on critical business needs.
Drive and manage GH&B Manufacturing Leadership team’s operating rhythm , leveraging Pfizer’s Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx).
Lead governance and execution of all GH&B Manufacturing LT meetings (weekly, monthly, and face-to-face), including but not limited to planning, calendar management, facilitation, and action tracking.
Ensure effective meeting governance with decision-oriented agendas, appropriate attendance, and timely follow-up on action items.
Manage GH&B Manufacturing LT Teamsite and documentation.
Responsible for routine internal and external global communications for the GH&B Manufacturing Lead and GH&B Manufacturing organization including Viva Engage, Global Town Halls, LinkedIn and colleague communications.
Advance business strategy by aligning and cascading goals and publishing associated communications.
Partner with Finance to manage the Operating Plan and budget, including annual planning, monthly reconciliation, and tracking.
Collaborate with the GH&B Manufacturing Lead, and others as appropriate, to prepare materials for GH&B LT and other Tier 6 meetings, external speaking engagements, and special requests (e.g., videos, presentations). Deliver high-quality, accurate and timely submissions for all presentations, reports, etc.
Interface with GH&B Manufacturing LT and broader teams to ensure delivery on key workstreams and metrics.
Maximize GH&B Manufacturing LT effectiveness by streamlining business processes across leadership meetings, strategic planning, and GH&B/PGS initiatives.
Partner with the PGS DBO community and GH&B Business Operations team and apply cross-functional learnings to enhance impact and resource efficiency.
Manage LT site visits, including annual planning, logistics, speaker notes, local priorities, and post-visit communications.
Support colleague recognition efforts (e.g., PGS awards) and engagement and cultural activities, via GH&B Manufacturing Town Halls and other communications. Member of PGS Recognition Team.
Lead and participate in PGS and enterprise-wide initiatives as needed.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 7 years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience
Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines and prioritize critical activities for the team .
Exceptional project, time management and organizational skills
Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes
High level of discretion and trust in handling confidential information
Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrix and complex and fast-paced environment
Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies

Work Location Assignment: Hybrid
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $189,200.00 to $315,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
