Job Description

The Director of Business Operations and Delivery owns the business cadence, delivery governance, and execution processes that ensure UNiDAYS’ priorities translate into clear plans, visible ownership, measurable progress, and accountable delivery.

Acting as a key partner to the COO and Senior Leadership Team, you will provide visibility of progress, surface risks early, and strengthen pace, alignment, and execution across the organisation. This role creates the operational leverage needed for the COO and SLT to focus on company performance, decision-making, organisational capability, and future growth.

Responsibilities

Company Planning & Strategic Delivery

  • Drive our annual and quarterly company planning cycles—including OKRs—ensuring priorities are clear, sequenced, and understood across all business units.
  • Maintain visibility across product, marketing, and departmental roadmaps to catch dependencies, conflicting priorities, and delivery risks before they cause issues.
  • Manage our portfolio of strategic initiatives, keeping clear ownership, visible tracking, and realistic delivery timelines in place.
  • Lead and mentor our Business Operations & Delivery team, setting high standards for cross-functional execution and project management.
  • Provide clear, concise executive reporting to the COO and SLT regarding delivery progress, key trade-offs, and risk mitigation

Operating Rhythm & Governance

  • Partner with the COO to design and manage our annual business calendar, key planning moments, and executive reviews.
  • Facilitate weekly, monthly, and quarterly trading and business review forums—keeping discussions focused on action and high-value decision-making rather than passive updates.
  • Oversee our OKR process to guarantee alignment, ownership, and continuous progress tracking across all teams.
  • Direct Delivery Operations support to ensure thorough follow-through, action tracking, and accountability after key leadership meetings

Operational Effectiveness & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Work alongside department heads to identify systemic friction, cut down rework, and streamline how teams collaborate at scale.
  • Step in to lead central coordination when high-stakes projects get stuck or cross-functional alignment breaks down.
  • Drive post-mortems and retrospectives after major business cycles or delivery challenges to turn lessons learned into better daily practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Programme Delivery, or related operational leadership roles.
  • A track record of running company-wide planning, governance, and execution cadences inside fast-moving organisations.
  • Hands-on experience building practical reporting suites, OKR frameworks, and performance tracking systems that drive real accountability.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading high-impact cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders without needing direct authority.
  • Direct experience managing, coaching, and scaling high-performing delivery or operations teams.
  • Sharp critical thinking skills with an ability to balance operational detail with commercial strategy.
