
ASI Robots is seeking an experienced, visionary Director of Business Development to lead the strategic expansion and market establishment of the newly created Landscaping division in Longmont, CO. Following strategic acquisitions and high-profile brand manufacturing initiatives, including building advanced robotic equipment for the High-Profile brand and integrating Scythe technology, the division requires senior leadership to build commercial infrastructure from the ground up.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Business Development will serve as a foundational pillar for the division. This high-impact leadership role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, dealer network expansion, channel efficiency, and enterprise-level execution. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex autonomous hardware innovations and high-volume commercial markets, driving go-to-market strategies that capture market share across commercial landscaping and dealer networks.
Establish Commercial Infrastructure: Build and scale the business development and sales infrastructure for the newly formed Landscaping division from the ground up, establishing scalable frameworks for channel growth and account acquisition.
Drive Dealer & Partner Network Expansion: Form strategic partnerships with independent dealers, commercial distributors, and enterprise accounts (including alignment with manufacturing partners like John Deere) to rapidly scale the U.S. footprint.
Lead Go-To-Market (GTM) Execution: Partner with product management, marketing, and executive leadership to deploy successful GTM strategies for newly integrated robotic platforms (including Scythe technology) and high-tech autonomous hardware.
Execute Consultative Sales & Partner Enablement: Act as a trusted advisor to commercial landscapers and regional dealers, overcoming technical hesitation, demonstrating labor-saving ROI, and securing vital channel buy-in for emerging robotics.
Manage Enterprise-Level Strategy & Budgets: Oversee regional budgets, cross-channel investments, and high-impact partnerships, ensuring frictionless execution and maximized return on commercial spend.
Translate Complex Innovation into Market Value: Translate advanced, high-tech engineering concepts into clear, actionable business initiatives and revenue-generating opportunities for commercial operators.
Influence Executive Stakeholders: Provide strategic advisement to internal and external leadership, securing alignment on commercial expansion roadmaps and positioning ASI Robotics as a market leader in autonomous grounds maintenance
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, similar field.
12+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in omni-channel marketing, commercial strategy, digital commerce, brand optimization, and territory revenue growth within high-growth or hardware-intensive industries.
Channel & Dealer Development Expertise: Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and optimizing dealer networks, B2B sales channels, and partner ecosystems with extensive knowledge of landscaping equipment
Consultative Leadership & Sales Acumen: Exceptional ability to bridge technical gaps, drive customer adoption for emerging technologies, and secure buy-in from commercial operators and executive stakeholders.
Cross-Functional & International Collaboration: Experience aligning cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Logistics) and collaborating seamlessly across global or multi-market corporate structures.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Expertise in utilizing performance analytics, KPI dashboards, and market trend data to eliminate sales friction, accelerate pipeline growth, and drive top-line revenue.
Communication Skills: Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationship growth.
Strong understanding of acquisition, investment, corporate development and business development process and implementation
Detail-oriented, with a logical and methodical approach to breaking down complex problems and finding practical solutions.

Experience in robotic and/or related software development industry preferred
