Job Description

SitelogIQ is a rapidly growing energy and facility services company. We provide planning, design, and management solutions for organizations that want efficient and sustainable building environments that are healthier and safer for their occupants.

As the Director of Business Development at SitelogIQ you will lead and oversee the Business Development team and activities. You will work closely with the Vice President of Business Development in the leadership of the Business Developers including their training and sales mentorship programs.

You will be responsible for understanding opportunities, assessing the needs, and determining the strategies to properly assist each business developer in engaging the client and entering development engagements. You will guide and assist with high stakes opportunities and mentor, train, and prepare the business developers with the proper win strategies.

Travel will be required within the region. This travel may include but is not limited to employee training, client first calls, client meetings, site visits, school board meetings, and presentations.

Director of Business Development Responsibilities:

Management, Leadership, & Staff Development

  • Manage, train, and offer guidance to business developers
  • Provide oversight and help determine the proper strategies and engagement efforts for each development opportunity
  • Provide proper leadership and guidance for the team and assist on major issues as they arise
  • Ensure that the team is well positioned to “Close” deals
  • Hold staff accountable for project performance, deliverables & client satisfaction
  • Participates in high stakes customer presentation offering support, leadership, strategy, and experience
  • Continuously research and develop new and best practices.

Business Development

  • Lead and assist business development and marketing team in interviews, marketing, and closing of contracts and partnerships with identified opportunities
  • Attend strategy sessions, review RFP/RFQ responses, participate in meetings with the client
  • Develop, implement and maintain effective sales and other programs that provide maximum exposure to new business prospects within the firm’s established goals and objectives

Client Satisfaction, Relationship, and Company Image

  • Build, strengthen, foster, and maintain an intimate and long-term relationship with each client.
  • Develop consist messaging that aligns with the companies core values and the values and unique opportunities SitelogIQ can and will bring to each client.

Required Qualifications:

  • Accredited College degree in business, engineering, architecture, or related and relevant area of study
  • 10 years of experience in Client Leadership and/or Sales Experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership which must include both leadership as a subject matter expert in Client Engagement/Sales
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and ability to meet project timelines and client expectations
